Rail Closure In Northern Ireland

EDM number 897 in 2003-04, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 24/03/2004.

That this House recognises the importance of rail travel throughout the United Kingdom; is particularly concerned at the possibility of consideration being given in Northern Ireland to closing, or mothballing the rail line north of Ballymena to Londonderry; is acutely aware of the detrimental effect any closure would have on the people who live on the North Coast and along the North West corridor; and calls upon the Secretary of State to assist in the promotion of railway travel in Northern Ireland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
