South Street Surgery, Romford

EDM number 398 in 2004-05, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 15/12/2004.

That this House expresses great concern over the proposed closure of the South Street General Practice Surgery which currently serves a large selection of the central Romford community; recognises that the residents of the area will be left without adequate healthcare provision and general practice services if the closure goes ahead; acknowledges that the closure of the surgery would also mean that patients from South Street Surgery would have to travel a considerable distance to access healthcare elsewhere; and therefore calls upon Her Majesty's Government to urgently review the provision of local healthcare in Romford to ensure that everyone has access to a local surgery within a reasonable proximity.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
