Motocross Circuit In Rainham

EDM number 946 in 2005-06, proposed by James Brokenshire on 03/11/2005.

That this House notes that the Planning Inspectorate is considering an appeal by Moto Europe Limited of a decision by the London Borough of Havering to refuse planning permission for a motocross circuit at Launders Lane in Rainham; notes that local residents in Rainham are deeply concerned that the creation of such a circuit would create noise, disruption, dust and increased traffic which would have a significant adverse impact on amenities, would be out of keeping with the adjacent Thames Chase Forest, would disrupt people's enjoyment of this environmental area and would have an adverse impact on the regeneration of Rainham as an important part of the Thames Gateway area; and calls upon the Planning Inspector to take full account of all the views and concerns expressed by Rainham residents when considering the appeal.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
