Cut Waste In Kendal Campaign
EDM number 1062 in 2006-07, proposed by Timothy Farron on 07/03/2007.
That this House welcomes the Cut Waste in Kendal (CWIK) campaign, which aims to put pressure on large supermarket chains to minimise the waste produced by product packaging; welcomes the input of local schools and the local branch of the Women's Institute along with other organisations which are supporting the CWIK campaign; and urges the Government to continue the good work of the Waste and Resources Action Programme, which encourages businesses and consumers to be more efficient in their use of materials.
