Declaration Of Berlin (No. 2)

EDM number 1244 in 2006-07, proposed by Keith Vaz on 28/03/2007.

That this House welcomes the Declaration marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome agreed in Berlin on 24th and 25th March 2007; fully agrees with the text that the citizens of the European Union have united for the better; hopes that this Declaration will help establish a constructive European framework in the years ahead; calls upon all EU governments to raise awareness of the text with their citizens; and believes that the next 50 years of the EU will fulfil a century of peace, prosperity and freedom throughout the European Union.
