That this House congratulates Sir Michael Arthur KCMG on his achievements as British High Commissioner to India; believes that he has strengthened the ties of friendship between India and the UK, facilitating a positive working relationship between the two countries; warmly welcomes his appointment as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany; and considers that Richard Stagg CMG is an excellent choice as his successor as British High Commissioner to India.
