Devolution Of Marine Conservation
EDM number 2110 in 2006-07, proposed by Angus MacNeil on 15/10/2007.
That this House welcomes the call by The Scotsman newspaper to increase the independent powers held at Holyrood by devolving to the Scottish Government control of marine conservation, from the 12-mile territorial waters to the 200 nautical mile international limit; notes that in practice this would restore control over Scottish waters to Scotland and its people; and commends this as the best solution for preserving marine life in this sector of the sea.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
