Passport Office Provision In Sleaford And North Hykeham Constituency

EDM number 337 in 2006-07, proposed by Douglas Hogg on 29/11/2006.

That this House notes with concern that under current plans from 2007 all first-time applicants for a passport will need to have a personal interview and that from 2009 all applicants for a passport, including renewals, will need the same; further notes that within the constituency of Sleaford and North Hykeham there is no provision for an interview office with the nearest proposed offices being in Lincoln, Peterborough and Boston; and calls on Ministers to reconsider these proposals and, at the very least, to make provision for interview offices in Sleaford and Grantham and for a video-link to some of the major villages in that constituency.

This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
