Fuel Poverty

EDM number 651 in 2007-08, proposed by Stewart Hosie on 08/01/2008.

That this House welcomes the Scottish Government's £7 million boost for the central heating programme in Scotland to increase the number of installations by 1,600 to 15,000, the highest number since the scheme began; recognises that this will go some way to tackling the rise in fuel poverty under Scotland's previous Labour/Liberal Democrat administration; and calls on the UK Government to reconvene the UK Ministerial Fuel Poverty Action Group at the soonest opportunity to allow all relevant partners, including the devolved administrations, to take further action to help the most vulnerable.

This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
