Berwick-Upon-tweed And Scotland (No. 3)

EDM number 996 in 2007-08, proposed by Graham Stringer on 21/02/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Devolution and Scottish Parliament.

That this House notes that the poll conducted by ITV's Tonight programme indicated that a majority of residents of Berwick-upon-Tweed wished to be part of Scotland; believes that this view is caused by the extra funding Scotland receives via the Barnett Formula, and that the continuation of this formula threatens the union between England and Scotland; and therefore calls for an urgent review of the formula.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
