Lliw 2 Swansea Learning Partnership

EDM number 203 in 2008-09, proposed by Martin Caton on 09/12/2008.
Categorised under the topic of Adult education.

That this House congratulates all the partners in the Lliw 2 Learning Project supported by the European Social Fund that began in 2004 and will close at the end of 2008; notes that Gorseinon College, Swansea University, the City and County of Swansea, Swansea Women's Centre, Swansea Council for Voluntary Service and Swansea College have worked creatively together to introduce more than 5,000 adults to a wide range of learning activities; recognises that many of the beneficiaries have been disadvantaged and vulnerable people who acknowledge that their lives have been transformed by this experience; and hopes that resources will be made available in the future to ensure that this innovative approach to adult education can be continued.
