Sutton Carers Centre

EDM number 356 in 2009-10, proposed by Tom Brake on 03/12/2009.
Categorised under the topics of Community care and Sickness, disability and carers' benefits.

That this House recognises the important work Sutton Carers Centre does in supporting local carers and their families; commends the work it is doing for Carers Rights Day on 4 December 2009 to help educate local carers on their pension entitlements and benefit entitlements; and notes that Carers Rights Day is run by Carers UK and is a national campaign, now in its tenth year, that seeks to increase the take-up of benefits and raise awareness of carers' rights and this year is highlighting the support that carers may be able to get in order to protect their pensions.
