That this House celebrates the success of 18-year-old South Tynesider Joe McElderry on winning the 2009 X Factor competition; recognises the massive achievement that this represents and the wonderful job he has done representing the whole of the North East; pays tribute to all those who have contributed to this achievement, including the fantastic support he has received from everyone in the region and the state-of-the-art facilities at the Performance Academy at Newcastle College, which contributed to Joe's success in the competition; and wishes him every success in the future.
