That this House is delighted that Leeds' Elland Road stadium is among those chosen by the Football Association for inclusion in England's 2018 World Cup bid and congratulates the other successful candidates; recognises the high quality and prestigious nature of stadia included and hopes that the list has significantly strengthened England's bid; believes that Leeds deserves its position amongst such high profile stadia; is confident that Elland Road and the City of Leeds have both the resources and commitment to make an excellent host city and that the people of Leeds will prove to be excellent hosts should the bid be successful; commends the hard work and dedication of Leeds City Council and all those who supported the Back the Bid Campaign; recognises the positive impact such an event will have on the local economy; and looks forward to Elland Road being one of the selected venues, chosen in 2010.
