Nato Lisbon Summit

EDM number 1016 in 2010-12, proposed by Alan Meale on 16/11/2010.
Categorised under the topics of Arms control and NATO.

That this House is aware of the forthcoming NATO Summit due to be held in Lisbon on 19-20 November 2010 to discuss the future planning of its organisation; is concerned about such matters as the proposed continued deterrent use of B61 Free Fall nuclear weapons currently based in a number of states and about which some of their governments are increasingly becoming worried as they are also about proposals to increase the numbers of tactical nuclear weapons placed within the European arena; and calls on the Government to openly raise such concerns at this Summit and to stand firm against their deployment on British soil.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
