British Gas Winter Price Increase

EDM number 1050 in 2010-12, proposed by Fabian Hamilton on 18/11/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Oil, petrol and natural gas.

That this House notes with concern the announcement made by British Gas of a seven per cent. gas and electricity price increase from 10 December 2010; further notes that this sizeable increase is unwelcome in the current difficult economic climate and will cause unnecessary hardship for thousands of British Gas customers at the start of winter; and calls on the Government to ask the Regulator to look into the way in which British Gas configures its pricing structure.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
