Funding For Supporting People Programmes

EDM number 1282 in 2010-12, proposed by John Mann on 17/01/2011.

That this House expresses concern at proposed cuts to Supporting People funding; recognises that two million vulnerable people in the UK rely upon varying levels of support, tailored to individual need; believes that the proposed funding cuts will translate to a decline in levels of service and may cause unnecessary suffering for vulnerable people; remembers the inefficient system of over 20 different mechanisms of housing support of the 1990s; and strongly urges the Government and local authorities to reconsider cuts to the funding.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
