Groceries Adjudicator
EDM number 133 in 2012-13, proposed by Jim Shannon on 23/05/2012.
That this House welcomes the creation of a groceries adjudicator; understands that this will begin the process of ensuring that local providers are given fair prices; and notes, however, that there must be powers to fine those retailers who do not abide by the decisions made by the adjudicator and measures to guarantee the rigorous adherence and enforcement of rulings.
