Proposed Commons Twitter Hashtag

EDM number 2510 in 2010-12, proposed by David Morris on 05/12/2011.
Categorised under the topics of House of Commons, Internet and cybercrime and Members of Parliament.

That this House notes that it is important to keep up with modern communication techniques; further notes that hon. Members are now allowed to tweet from the Chamber; believes that it would help the public engage with politicians if all such tweets were drawn together with a hashtag; further believes that it is vital to come up with a common hashtag that all hon. Members use; and calls on all hon. Members to start putting #commons into their tweets.

This motion has been signed by a total of 3 MPs.
