That this House notes with concern the activities of the English Defence League (EDL) which is trying to spread fear, hatred and violence against Britain's Muslim community; further notes that the EDL has planned a rally in Bradford on 28 August 2010; recognises that this rally will be provocative, and will threaten race relations and community cohesion; further notes that the City of Bradford has suffered riots in the past provoked by threats from far right groups; and calls on the Home Secretary to ban this rally.
