Closure Of Post Office On Hawksworth Wood Estate In Kirkstall, Leeds West

EDM number 979 in 2010-12, proposed by Rachel Reeves on 09/11/2010.
Categorised under the topic of Postal services.

That this House is disappointed that Post Office Services have temporarily ended on the Hawksworth Wood estate in Kirkstall, Leeds; notes that the nearest Post Office is one mile away uphill; further notes that many local families and elderly people, many of whom do not have access to a car, rely on the Post Office; and calls on the Post Office to ensure that Post Office services are resumed on the estate as soon as possible.
