Gannett Foundation And Prince's Trust Enterprise Programme For Young Entrepreneurs

That this House welcomes the announcement of the Gannett Foundation's new scheme to provide start up grants and training to young entrepreneurs both in Westmorland and across the North West; notes the exceptional flair and creativity of Cumbria's entrepreneurs across all sectors including retail, tourism and industry; commends the commitment of the Westmorland Gazette and Prince's Trust to identifying and nurturing the next generation of Cumbrian entrepreneurial talent; urges young people aged between 18 and 30 to grasp the opportunity to explore and develop their own business ideas; and calls on the Government to ensure Britain remains a place in which talented, driven young people from all backgrounds do not face barriers to pursuing business ideas of their own.
