Northern Football League

EDM number 41 in 2012-13, proposed by Ian Lavery on 09/05/2012.
Categorised under the topic of Sports.

That this House recognises the ongoing success of the Northern Football League, which is the second oldest football league in the world and is based in the North East of England, comprising teams from the county football associations of Cumberland, Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire; applauds the outstanding achievement of two of its clubs, Dunston UTS and West Auckland in reaching the final of the FA Vase, which is to be contested at Wembley on 13 May 2012; and recognises that supporters from non-league clubs throughout England will travel to Wembley to view what will be a truly historic day for both clubs, the Northern League and North East football.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
