UK Entertainment Industry And The London 2012 Olympic Games

EDM number 796 in 2012-13, proposed by Alan Meale on 29/11/2012.
Categorised under the topics of Industry and Sports.

That this House congratulates the professional installers, designers and engineers from the entertainment technologies industry for their superb work in the London 2012 Olympic Games; recognises that these companies and individuals produced some of the most memorable moments in the opening and closing ceremonies, using technologies in new ways and developing new skills and techniques for entertainmentproduction; regrets that these companies are now prevented from publicising their involvement in the Games and gaining international contracts for British companies; and calls on the Government to facilitate a speedy resolution towards having such restrictions removed, thereby allowing UK companies to publicise their work and role in the London 2012 Olympic Games to help them to tender for future work, including Rio 2016.
