That this House congratulates Headingley Rotary Club as it celebrates 40 years of successful fundraising; commends all presidents and members past and present for their hard work raising money for a huge variety of different charities across the world; celebrates the hard-working men and women who founded the club in 1973 and began many years of successful work; welcomes the success of its 40th year celebratory lunch as a time to remember the history of the club and look to the future of community fundraising in Headingley and Leeds; further commends the exceptional civic activism which has seen the club fulfil the Rotary International motto, We're for Communities, time and time again over the past 40 years; further welcomes the initiative shown by all members in their fundraising ideas and choices of charities across the world to support promoting understanding and compassion for a multitude of different causes both close to home and further afield; and expresses its commitment to ensuring groups like Headingley Rotary Club are supported and appreciated for the work they voluntarily do.
