That this House congratulates the Royal and Ancient (R&A) on its decision to stage the Open at Royal Portrush in 2019 following a gap of almost 70 years; recognises the significant role played by the Northern Ireland Executive in securing what will be Northern Ireland's biggest sporting event; applauds the estimated £70 million economic benefit that the Championship will bring to the Antrim coast; looks forward to welcoming people from all over the world to Northern Ireland; and wishes all in the R&A, Royal Portrush and Northern Ireland well in preparations for what will be another outstanding major sporting event in the UK.
