Urgent Lancaster House Talks For Libyan Crisis

EDM number 617 in 2015-16, proposed by Daniel Kawczynski on 28/10/2015.
Categorised under the topics of Africa and International politics and government.

That this House notes the ongoing wait for a government of national unity to emerge in Libya, in a deal to be brokered by the UN; acknowledges the fact that the deadline for forming such a government has repeatedly slipped; and, further noting the expertise of the UK in conflict resolution, and its excellent pedigree in resolving more conflicts internationally than any other country, calls on the Government to do all it can to bring all the sides involved in this matter together for Lancaster House talks to resolve the current impasse and to help establish a government of national unity in Libya.

This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
