Tax Credits Mitigation

EDM number 698 in 2015-16, proposed by Danny Kinahan on 16/11/2015.
Categorised under the topics of Benefits policy, Family benefits, Incomes and poverty and Working age benefits.

That this House notes the disproportionate effect of the proposed tax credit cuts on Northern Ireland, which will hit 120,000 households; expresses the view that hard-working, low-paid families should not be penalised for their efforts but rewarded for their contribution to the UK economy; and calls on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to bring forward wide-ranging mitigation measures in his 2015 Autumn Statement.

This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
