That this House pays tribute to the emergency services that responded to the recent floods in Cumbria; praises the hard work and commitment of those that worked tirelessly to ensure that people were evacuated safely; commends the community spirit and resilience of those affected by flooding; notes that shops and businesses in Cumbria are open for business; and further notes and commends the work of local media outlets including BBC Radio Cumbria and CFM in keeping people up to date with the changing situation with regard to road and bridge closures.
