That this House notes the visit to Whalley by Government ministers and Sir James Bevan, the Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, who were able to witness for themselves the devastation caused by the Boxing Day 2015 floods which resulted in over 300 households and businesses being flooded; calls on the Government to ensure that all assistance in a future flooding crisis is made available to those who need it and that lessons are learnt by the Environment Agency as to how best to respond to another flooding crisis; and further calls on the Government to ensure that the Flood Re scheme covers small businesses and homes built after 2009.
