Tfl Consultation On Vauxhall Cross And Vauxhall Bus Station

EDM number 950 in 2015-16, proposed by Kate Hoey on 12/01/2016.
Categorised under the topic of Buses.

That this House regrets that Transport for London (TfL) and the London Borough of Lambeth have disregarded requests from local residents to extend the consultation period about their plans for the future of Vauxhall Cross and the proposed demolition of the bus station; notes that so far fewer than 1,000 replies have been received from the 300,000 Oyster card users surveyed by TfL; further notes that a senior official in Lambeth has now asked other Lambeth officials to encourage their staff and friends to complete TfL's survey; and believes this is further evidence that this shoddy and inadequate consultation should be torn up and begun again after the London Mayoral elections, with Londoners given the chance to choose between TfL's plan and that put forward by the local community.
