UK Border Force Inspections At Small Ports And Airports

EDM number 960 in 2015-16, proposed by David Hanson on 13/01/2016.
Categorised under the topics of Aviation, Drugs crimes, Immigration, Offensive weapons and Shipping.

That this House is deeply concerned about the lack of inspections undertaken by the UK Border Force at small ports and airports with as many as 67,500 small boats and aircraft entering the UK each year without being met by border staff; is concerned that organised criminals will be able to exploit this gap in the UK's border security and allow the illegal import of drugs and weapons; and urges the Government to introduce random checks at these ports and airports, to ensure that the UK's borders are secure.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
