Rose Gentle

EDM number 138 in 2017-19, proposed by Chris Stephens on 05/07/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Armed forces welfare and Defence equipment and procurement.

That this House recognises the award of a doctorate from Glasgow University to Rose Gentle, tireless campaigner and proud mother of Gordon Gentle killed in the line of duty in Iraq in 2004; and notes that this not only marks her son's sacrifice but is in recognition of her campaigning and charity work that seeks to improve conditions and equipment for service personnel, while highlighting the political misjudgments and lack of equipment that led directly to her son's death and applauds her determination to never give up campaigning for truth and justice for service personnel and their families.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
