Stirling's Bid To Become European Capital Of Volunteering

EDM number 1672 in 2017-19, proposed by Stephen Kerr on 10/10/2018.

That this House notes the work undertaken by Stirling Voluntary Enterprise to nominate Stirling as European Volunteering Capital 2020; further notes that this would highlight Stirling's position as a great place to be a volunteer capturing its strong community spirit and the feel-good factor that volunteering brings; notes that over 100 local organisations in Stirling have backed the bid; and supports Stirling in its bid to be European Capital of Volunteering in 2020.
