Uclan And The Medical Students Displaced By Hurricane Irma

That this House welcomes the tremendous initiative of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston in accepting more than 700 students and staff from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine on the island of Sint Maarten, which was hit by Hurricane Irma; congratulates UCLan on the speed with which it has acted to rescue the studies of hundreds of students; and commends the East Lancashire NHS Hospitals Trust in facilitating the clinical training of the students.
