Facilities For Honourable Members

That this House believes in the necessity for an effective House of Commons whose Members are capable of fulfilling their duties by providing an effective scrutiny of the executive and properly representing their constituents; further believes that, in view of the increasing volume of legislation and in particular European Community legislation, honourable Members need adequate backing to carry out these functions; and therefore, calls for an early opportunity to debate these matters in Government time and implement the necessary and substantial increases in resources.
