Nuclear Power Cost;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 1593A1 in 2003-04, proposed by Bill Tynan on 09/09/2004.

Line 1, delete from 'House' to end and insert, 'notes the recent reports from the Royal Academy of Engineering and others which indicate that the Government's view on the economics of nuclear may be false; further notes the recent 40% increase in the wholesale price of gas; and calls on the Government to review its understanding of the costs of the different forms of electricity generation and to publish a report.'
