Rugby League Aiding Charity

EDM number 1352 in 1997-98, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 20/05/1998.

That this House congratulates the Rugby Football League on their initiative and commitment to supporting SPARKS, Sports Aiding Medical Research for Kids, a charity which attempts to alleviate and prevent disabilities in children; welcomes their attempts to raise over ú50,000 for SPARKS over the next two years by donating one penny from every spectator attending league matches; and wishes them success in their fundraising efforts.
