Fair Trade Tea And Coffee In House Restaurants

EDM number 362 in 1997-98, proposed by Nick Palmer on 28/10/1997.

That this House, in the light of widespread concern that the producers of tea and coffee in developing countries fail to receive a fair share of the price charged in Britain, urges the Catering Committee to take a lead on behalf of the House by instructing all catering departments in the House to serve only Cafe Direct, Clipper Tea or other 'fair trade' products.

This motion has been signed by a total of 68 MPs.
