That this House celebrates the 100th anniversary of steeplechasing at Cheltenham Racecourse in 1998 and 75 years of the running of the Cheltenham Gold Cup; congratulates all those who have worked to turn Prestbury Park into one of the most modern, exciting and welcoming racecourses in the country; acknowledges the contribution that racing makes to the economy of the area and the pleasure it gives to so many local people and visitors; and looks forward to another hundred years of racing at Cheltenham.
