Glenn Hoddle

EDM number 257 in 1998-99, proposed by Mark Oaten on 01/02/1999.

That this House condemns the recent offensive comments by Glenn Hoddle, the England Football Manager, regarding disabled people; is encouraged by the widespread public condemnation of these comments, which shows that his views are clearly out of date; believes that under the circumstances the manager's resignation would be welcomed; and calls upon the Government to continue its steps to raise the profile of disabled people and ensure equality.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
