Wto Leadership Choice By Britain

EDM number 433 in 1998-99, proposed by Nick Palmer on 15/03/1999.

That this House recognises the concern that World Trade Organisation rules do not permit adequate measures to tackle social, environmental and animal welfare issues; notes that one candidate for the World Trade Organisation leadership, Mr Supachai, has reportedly opposed changes in this area; and urges the Government to support a candidate who is open to World Trade Organisation reform.

This motion has been signed by a total of 67 MPs.
