Turn-Out At Elections

EDM number 736 in 1998-99, proposed by David Crausby on 17/06/1999.

That this House recognises that low turn-outs in elections are not in the interest of democracy and, with Great Britain almost at the bottom of the international league table, calls upon the Government to consider increasing voter turn-out by introducing real incentives to increase voter participation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
