BRITISH AIRWAYS' NEW LOGO

EDM number 751 in 1998-99, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 22/06/1999.

That this House congratulates British Airways on its recent decision to increase the number of aircraft which incorporate the British red, white and blue Union Flag-based design on their tail fin logo; notes that the ú60 million redesigned logos which were used previously to reflect the airline's cosmopolitan outlook are not as popular with British passengers; and further notes that the redesigned British flag logos will be warmly welcomed by passengers and British business by demonstrating pride in promoting a British product which is safe and secure in transporting passengers to their destinations.
