Timing Of News Bulletins On Bbc1
EDM number 1127 in 1999-00, proposed by Norman Baker on 06/11/2000.
That this House condemns the decision of the BBC's Board of Governors to move BBC1's Nine O'clock News to 10 pm one year ahead of schedule and without public consultation; believes that this decision and the decision to move Panorama to a late Sunday evening slot represent a further marginalisation of news and current affairs on BBC1; and calls on the BBC's Board of Governors to reinstate the Nine O'clock News on BBC1 with immediate effect.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
