That this House deplores the military threats against Taiwan by China; condemns the Chinese policy documents suggesting China be prepared to launch a massive attack upon Taiwan; upholds the right of the Taiwanese people to exercise their right of self-determination; calls upon China to improve human rights for its citizens; notes that Taiwan is one of the world's top 15 trading powers; and looks forward to both China and Taiwan becoming members of the World Trade Organisation through which relations will improve as a result of dialogue and increased trade.
