Bank Closures In Somerset

EDM number 533 in 1999-00, proposed by Jackie Ballard on 15/03/2000.

That this House deplores the decision of Lloyds Bank TSB to close its branch in Wireliscombe, and to do so with notification but not consultation with the local community or its representatives; and notes that this closure will cause considerable inconvenience to local people, especially those who have no access to private transport and restricted access to the public transport.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
