Bank Closures In Portsmouth

EDM number 548 in 1999-00, proposed by Mike Hancock on 17/03/2000.

That this House deplores the decision of Lloyds Bank TSB to close its branch in the Southsea area of Portsmouth South, and to do so with notification of, but not consultation with, the local community or its representatives; and notes that this closure will cause considerable inconvenience to local people, especially those who have no access to private transport and restricted access to public transport.

This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
