BBC AND COVERAGE OF HER MAJESTY, THE QUEEN MOTHER'S PAGEANT

EDM number 725 in 1999-00, proposed by Nigel Evans on 15/05/2000.

That this House regrets the decision of the BBC not to show live coverage of the Pageant on 19th July to celebrate the 100th birthday of Her Majesty, The Queen Mother; believes this pageant will be a significant display of affection and gratitude on behalf of charities and organisations with which Her Majesty, The Queen Mother, has been involved during her life; reminds the BBC of its public service remit; and calls on the BBC to give full and live terrestrial coverage of this unique event.

This motion has been signed by a total of 42 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
