That this House pay tribute to fire fighters throughout the UK for their work during the recent floods, but is concerned at reports that many fire authorities are under-equipped due to a lack of funds available for flood rescue work; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to make all fire authorities separate precepting bodies to ensure that sufficient funding can be directed to particular areas of local need.
